What does the future of mobile marketing look like?


I see mobile apps as the future of mobile marketing and e-commerce altogether. For example, I have a local stand-alone WalMart grocery store that offers online shopping. You use an online shopping cart just like any other e-commerce store, select the date and pickup time of your convenience, and arrive at the store’s designated pickup location where they load your groceries and send you on your way.

I foresee a mobile app that features a grocery list that can be maintained by the user on their mobile device, and at the touch of a button, that list can be submitted as an order with the pickup time and details recorded from the applications settings. This can be applied to retail award shops where customers could maintain their orders while on the go and have them ready for pickup quickly and easily in between jobs. The opportunities are endless — the technology is already here.
