What advice do you have for someone just starting out in sublimation?

Answer

  1. Don’t buy equipment on a piecemeal process. Buy a turnkey system from someone who has a good reputation for supporting their clients, with after hours and weekend technical support.
  2. Document your successes and failures. Learning to do sublimation is almost like learning to cook. Document everything – from what you don’t understand to your questions. We all make mistakes, but it’s important to learn from your mistakes. Create a wall of shame – when you make a mistake, put it on your wall to avoid making the same mistake again. If you sublimate something upside down, for instance, you can remember and make progress. Not learning from your mistakes dooms you to failure.
