Linking accounts and posting the same content to multiple accounts is frowned upon by many online marketing professionals. However, those professionals aren’t running a business and multi-tasking the way most of us are. There are a few reasons to target each social media site differently and individually.

For example, issues arise with a Tweet posted to Facebook saying, “Re-Tweet This!” Likewise, asking people to like and share your Facebook posts tends to look silly when it hits Twitter. Automated linking between accounts often causes issues in general. I see a ton of Twitter accounts posting good content on Facebook, but when you Tweet a simple link with no headline, a follower will either click on it or ignore it—and that is simply ineffective marketing.
