On the third Thursday of every month in 2019, Trotec will host product demonstrations and specialized laser workshops, led by laser experts. Featuring a different training topic each month, these workshops are designed for everyone from novice to expert. Attendance to any Trotec Third Thursday is free whether you are an existing Trotec owner or not.
The first event will take place on January 17 at Trotec USA headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan. January’s training topic will be on CorelDRAW software and how to set up basic raster and vector files to be processed with the laser. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to create basic shapes, use color mapping, and discover software shortcuts that can reduce file prep time.
"The purpose of the seminars is to provide attendees with laser knowledge that will help them become more efficient and profitable in their businesses," states Warren Knipple, president of Trotec. Featuring a different training topic each month, workshops will cover topics suitable for beginners as well as experienced laser users, including software training, laser and engraving materials, accessory options, and laser hacks. According to Knipple, “Attendees will walk away with laser knowledge that will help them become more efficient and profitable in their businesses.”
Other seminars will be planned at participating regional service and support centers located in Anaheim and the San Francisco Bay area, California; Arlington, Texas; Atlanta; Hillsborough, New Jersey; Raleigh, North Carolina; Dade City, Florida; Phoenix; and the Seattle area.
Trotec will also co-host joint seminars with JDS Industries and IKONICS Imaging that are not a part of the Third Thursday series. These seminars provide training on three technologies —lasers, sandcarving, and sublimation —and offer insight on how the technologies can work together to give awards and engraving businesses a competitive advantage. Joint seminars are planned for 2019 in the following locations: Jacksonville, Florida; Minneapolis; and Seattle.
