Roland Offers Online, In-Person Training Here and in Europe

Roland, a Japan-based manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D printing devices, offers both online and in-person training in the U.S. and in the UK through its Roland Academy.

Irvine, California-based Roland DGA, the U.S. division of the company, offers workshops and other educational content to support the skills and career growth of customers, students, and industry professionals.

The next webinar the company has scheduled, “Prepping Your Design Files for VersaWorks 6,” is Wednesday, March 6, from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. PST (1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EST). The seminar is free.

This company says this workshop is for new owners of Roland printers who want to know if their files are prepared correctly for printing in new VersaWorks 6 RIP Software. Kevin Rosen, Roland application specialist, will demonstrate the standard and best practices for file creation and output with Adobe Illustrator software. The company says that among other things, attendees will learn the standard methods for importing files into VersaWorks 6; how to understand the differences between Photoshop (raster) and Illustrator (vector); and how to properly save files and which file types to use for digital printing (PDF, EPS, TIFF).
