Marco Awards Group announces two exclusive distribution agreements. Under the terms of the agreement, the company is granted sole license to distribute Duraluxe graffiti-proof outdoor sublimation metal and Uninet Imaging’s iColor 550 printer series.
In regard to the Duraluxe agreement, Cathy Garcia tells A&E, “Our sublimation customers have been asking for specifically outdoor signage that can be full-color sublimated … This material fits that niche.”
Garcia explains that the company initially contacted one of its engraving/sheet stock vendors, which then led to the partnership. She says, “ID Plates was able to secure the material from the Western Europe Manufacturer.”
As for the Uninet Imaging printers, “We continually look for new technology, especially in the printing business,” says Garcia. “Uninet was a perfect fit for the addition of this printing technology. We currently offer sublimation printing through Sawgrass and Direct Color Systems ... Uninet falls in between with a multi-use printer that includes high- definition printing (including) sublimation, fluorescent, clear, and security printing.”
Being new territory for the company, Garcia notes that there is necessary training the staff will need to complete as they enter into this new market. “Sometimes the magic is the transfer paper and sometimes the magic is the toner cartridges — we need to be experts with both.”
She continues with optimism, however, “This is a tremendous opportunity to our growth. It’s an opportunity to provide new technology to a current customer without interruption to their core business.”
