THE NBM SHOW/Long Beach is fast approaching, but there’s still time to register at no cost and enjoy three days of networking, learning about new products and practices, and participating in the classroom and in-the-hall learning opportunities of your choosing.
Once again this year, WRAPSCON is a part of the Long Beach proceedings, which take place Thursday-Saturday, August 2-4, at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California.
THE NBM SHOW is designed to serve readers of A&E, Sign & Digital Graphics, and Printwear magazines, all produced by Broomfield, Colorado-based National Business Media.
The training schedule actually begins on Wednesday, August 1st, with two all-day classes: “Direct-to-Garment Printing Using the Epson F2100 and F2000 Printer,” put on by Equipment Zone; and another put on by Roland DGA called “Inside the Wrap Shop.”
Along with connecting business owners with manufacturers and vendors and introducing them to potential new markets that can boost their bottom line, giving attendees the chance to learn is a major feature of all THE NBM SHOWs, according to Sue Hueg, vice president of NBM Events.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming all of our past as well as all new friends to THE NBM SHOW in Long Beach,” Hueg says. “Want to learn some new techniques or find out more about how a specific product works? There are 37 complimentary classes available over the four days, beginning with the two all-day classes on Wednesday, and more 60- and 90-minute classes continuing Thursday through Saturday morning. Several exhibiting companies have Hands on and Training Stop in-booth demonstrations planned so you can see and try their products. Rick Williams, long-time SDG columnist and contributor, will be at the show on Friday to sign his book and share stories and memories.”
Williams’ book is called In the Trenches, a compilation of the columns the long-time sign maker has been contributing to Sign Business Magazine and Sign and Digital Graphics since 1986. Friday at 9:30 a.m., you can come and meet this four-decade veteran of the sign business and pick up a copy of his book filled with “wit, wisdom, and wayfindings.”
Hueg adds that she also wants to personally invite everyone to join NBM and other attendees and exhibitors at The BASH!, NBM’s legendary reception, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday at The Westin Long Beach, sponsored by Next Level Apparel, Direct Capital, Johnson Plastics Plus, and ORAFOL Americas.
For the second straight year, WRAPSCON will be part of THE NBM SHOW/Long Beach. WRAPSCON is a one-of-a-kind annual professional graphics installer event featuring some of the world’s premier wrap professionals. It’s three days of live installation demonstrations, classroom training opportunities, and a Q&A session with top installers.
It also features the Wrap Olympics competition and the “Meet the Masters” happy hour, where wrappers of all levels of expertise can get to know each other, swap war stories, and mingle with wrap industry icons.
Long Beach is consistently one of the top shows on the NBM annual schedule, says James “Ruggs” Kochevar, publisher of Sign & Digital Graphics and WRAPS magazines.

In addition to networking and training opportunities, registrants have a chance to win $500 in Buyer Bucks each day of the show. Buyer Bucks are redeemable at any participating exhibitor during the show and for 30 days after the show’s close.
Registration is free through Wednesday, August 1; after that it’s $25 to attend. Your registration includes admission to the entire show, all of the educational opportunities, and entry to The BASH!
