BOFA International announces the expansion of its facility in the U.K. by 25 percent to meet a growing demand for its fume and dust extraction technology.
The Poole-based company has launched construction on an additional 12,000 square feet of space at BOFA headquarters to house its corporate operations, the company says.
“BOFA started out as a small family business 30 years ago and has grown to become a world technology leader,” says BOFA International Managing Director Tony Lockwood. “Throughout this time, our commitment to UK manufacturing has been unwavering and we continue to fly the flag for British innovation through this investment in additional premises in Poole.”
According to the company, BOFA’s new building will be home to a new research and development (R&D) center, as well as an expansion of corporate operations, including customer service, marketing, training, technical support, product management, human resources, and accounts.
The facility will enable the BOFA R&D team of 16 specialists including engineers, technicians, and support staff to explore new concepts in the development of fume extraction systems.
“As a business, innovation is our lifeblood—it makes us agile and keeps us ahead of the competition,” Lockwood stresses. “Our people are highly skilled and are empowered to look for new ways of doing things, as evidenced by our development of technology that leads the world in keeping people safe in the workplace.”
