Broomfield, Colorado-based awards retailer Morgan Awards announces their recent relocation to a new shop, 2150 W. 6th, Ste. 5, on October 1.
According to Morgan Awards Owner and President Chris Morgan, the move stems from the former landlord’s decision to sell the building housing the company’s prior location. However, it was a smooth transition, she says, as the new location is just across the parking lot. “We are on the same northeast corner, so (customers) come in the same driveway,” Morgan tells A&E magazine. “We’re really lucky we didn’t have to direct (customers) too far if they went over there and didn’t know. It was really nice.”
It took just a week to prepare for the short move, which presented an opportunity for the company to efficiently organize in the process. “We probably purged about a third of what we had in the warehouse because it just sat there. It was a chance for some good house cleaning and reorganizing,” she notes, adding that the two buildings are comparable in size. “It took us about a week to make sure everything was working and what we needed was accessible, but we didn’t miss a day (of business).”
A Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting celebration was held to commemorate the company’s third move in its 24 years of business on November 9. Morgan Awards opened its doors to the public from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., giving tours of the new building, offering laser engraved leather keychain samples, and offering refreshments, before the ribbon-cutting commenced.
“We didn’t miss much of anything—no major hassles or issues, so that’s good,” Morgan says. “We’re pretty proud about how it all turned out.”
