What to Know About Sandcarving on Pavers

Liz Haas has been a teacher, trainer and show coordinator for Rayzist Photomask for the past 15 years. For the past 10 years, she has actively taught workshops on the photoresist and the sandcarving process.

Sandcarving on pavers is popular, and photoresist film allows detail with the ability to etch deep. Fonts can be easily enhanced for the highest quality blast, but a logo may need a little more adjusting than adding stroke to a line. When dealing with a detailed logo, consider simplifying the artwork for the best results. Concrete pavers can be a challenge since the surface is extremely porous. The proper artwork such as a bold design looks the best on a concrete surface.
