What to Keep in Mind When Designing Name Badges

Bob Hagel and his wife Dana own Eagle’s Mark Awards & Signs, offering a full line of personalized products using laser engraving, sand etching, and full-color UV direct print on products. They have offered awards, recognition, and signage products to organizations for more then a decade in the Southern California wine country.

If a badge cannot be easily read, it is useless. Less is best. A logo or business name, the individual’s name, and title (if important to the targeted viewers) is all that is needed. Avoid tag lines, college degrees, or industry qualifications. The simplest version of the logo is best for branding a business name. If letters such as CPA are important to identifying the business or position title, it is best to locate them under the name representing the title.

Help your customer understand what the purpose of a name badge is… to help introduce yourself and increase the retention of your name and business.
