I think the biggest challenge is not in the engraving itself, but in the lack of awareness of what rotary engravers can provide. While there is considerable focus on laser engravers, in many cases, rotary engravers can produce results that laser engravers simply can’t achieve. With that in mind, depending upon the needs of the end user, it may make sense to purchase a rotary engraver rather than a laser device. Shop owners that already have a laser engraver may also want to add a rotary engraver to the workflow. Doing so ensures they have a well-rounded arsenal of engraving equipment that allows them to accept many different types of jobs.
