Skills Needed to Make Custom Plaques

The skills needed to make custom plaques are certainly not “beginning” woodworking skills. You also don’t need someone who has advanced furniture-making skills, either. The advanced skills and equipment needed are for planning and shaping wood, routing edges, finish-sanding and staining, and finish-coating the plaques. The quality finish you’re looking for requires an advanced level of knowledge of stains and finishes and a detail-oriented person with high standards.
