Understanding resolution and how pixel images function makes a world of difference when scanning or using a digital camera, or in deciding in advance whether client-supplied artwork is adequate for the job at hand. Being able to quickly make adjustments to any image to improve image quality is a useful skill that allows much greater control over the process and outcome of a job.
