The Perfect Environment for Your Laser: Tips for summer extremes

In summer, laser devices are exposed to the heat of the sun and to the cold from air conditioning systems. Either can lead to problems. High ambient temperature can adversely affect functionality.

Use the following tips to avoid these problems:

  1. Avoid direct sunlight. If your laser is located near a window, close the blinds or shutters.
  2. Do not place the laser and its accessories directly into the air flow from an air conditioner either—this could cool down the parts excessively.
  3. Good air circulation in the room avoids heat build-up; occasionally open the windows to ventilate.
