Make the Most of Your Time in the Business

Stephen L. Capper, along with his wife, Nora, and their daughters, Jami and Toni, owns and operates A-1 Awards, Inc. in Indianapolis. He has been associated with the awards and recognition industry for over 45 years, and has given numerous seminars since 1979.

If you always do more than your client expects, you should never feel stress at delivery time. Give your clients more service, quality, and product for the dollar. 

For independent small businesses to be successful, it is a question of who will make their offer more competitive. The point that I’m trying to make is that we need to take our time when we are starting our new business. Keep life as simple as possible — don’t say yes when you should say no to those who want your time. 

Time can be your great asset and it is one thing you can’t buy, but you can waste it and never get it back. Plan how and when you’re going to fulfill your obligations so that you utilize your time to the ultimate best use.
