“More and more corporations are looking to trophy retailers as a business-to-business partnership. Trophy retailers are now decorating and selling higher end awards for corporate events and are viewed as a source for all types of recognition—not just the local trophy shop servicing their local community. With a change in perception, the target audience for trophy retailers has changed. Corporations view the purchase of awards as a higher purpose purchase and have the budgets to spend on awards. This, in turn, gives trophy retailers the opportunities for larger margins.”
