Photoresist film is ideal to use for detailed artwork on rocks, but how do you get the photomask to adhere on an irregular shape or curved rock? Applying a photomask to a curved rock can be tricky since the photoresist is thicker, making the film stiff.
Remove the clear liner prior to applying the photomask to the surface. This makes the mask flexible and pliable. Once the photomask is applied to the curved surface, press the photomask down with your fingers ensuring the mask is in the small grooves of the surface.
For best results, heat the stone surface with a mini propane torch prior to applying the photomask. Heat until it is hot to the touch.
