I suggest being as active as possible online, and keeping your message fresh and current. A social media account that posts five times per day will find more success than an account posting three times per week.
While Google Plus and Google My Business are on the lower end of the chart when it comes to active users, the Google Bot reads everything you post there and sees your activity. Likewise, Google Bot monitors how often your website is updated.
Your online message needs to speak to your audience as often as possible, along with the search engines and other crawlers that define how they provide information to their users.
