Adding a UV-LED Printer to Your Shop

Braden Todd is a second-generation glass artist, and the owner and creative force behind Glassmith2, located in Boulder, Colorado.

Adding the UV printer has allowed us to expand materials and processes, as well as production. Items that may not have engraved well look great when color-printed (raw metal, for instance). When looking into a UV printer, keep in mind the size of items you want to print, as well as other opportunities that may come through your shop. I always suggest getting the largest table size that you can have in your shop. Also, UV printers take a lot of maintenance. If possible, look for the printer with the best/longest warranty coverage.
